people

they're everywhere and many are the adjectives : interesting, annoying, hateful, lovely, exquisite, strange, obnoxious, caring... ymmv in this list. but one thing is for certain: without them, cities would be just lonely places... and in this song you will hear "several people" coming and going, as well as expressing their points of view about many subjects.

2005. in that year I was sent to México, to work on a 3G trial for a local carrier. if you've never been there, please visit it! it's true that it can be a love/hate experience, but if it turns out to be a loving one, you won't regret it!and while i was there, a friend of mine and i took a bus and headed to Acapulco (¡chavo del ocho! ¡órale!) - it's a 5h road trip from DF.Such a lovely place, full of life and people in the streets. but a remarkable fact: its charm risdes in the fact that the city is sort of outdated, as if you had travelled back in time, more specifically to the 80s (remember that "miami vice" thing?). lots of neon billboards and that "retrowave" aura/aesthetics vibrating in the air...i liked that, so NEON is an attempt to capture that mood, but with a pinch of modernity in it.

city lights

they appear in many shapes and forms (traffic and street lights, cars' headlights, neon billboards -- more on that in a few). blinking, twinkling, sparkling, flickering, and why not "bubbling"? -- a little synesthesia if i may.. i'm pretty confident you at least once got into your car (or mounted on your ride, in case you're a motor/cyclist) and vagued around, just to see and enjoy the night in the city you live in. close your eyes and allow me to escort you in this trip with this song.
